Early Talk

We are delighted that Hill View Infant Academy has been accredited by Speech and Language UK and recognised as a Supportive Level service. This includes demonstrating effective support and outcomes for all children.   

We have worked hard to make sure our setting incorporates a communication enabling environment to include all children. In addition, we make sure staff can support all children effectively by prioritising access to training and professional development. During this accreditation, we have created a small space called The Communication Shed which inspires our nursery children to talk in small groups about weird and wonderful objects. This has been a success and we know the positive impact of having this space will continue.

We are proud to say it was reported that “the ethos of the school is calm and respectful. It focuses upon enabling children’s communication and language skills to be nurtured and developed from their individual starting points, whilst working alongside parents, carers and families to support them to continue this at home.”

We look forward to further embedding this strength of our school whilst we work towards the Early Talk Accreditation at Enhanced level.
