To ensure we maintain high standards we produce an annual School Development Plan. Below is an outline of school priorities for this academic year which respond to our end of year data as well as key school priorities.
School Development Priorities for 2017 - 2018
Priority 1: QUALITY OF TEACHING, LEARNING AND ASSESSMENT
To review the curriculum for foundation subjects to ensure coverage is fit for purpose for our school community -To review and adapt current systems including curriculum coverage grids, assessment grids and medium term planning
Priority 2 OUTCOMES FOR PUPILS
To develop the use of SIMS to have a broader understanding of progress. To understand starting points of every child and ensure sufficient progress is made over time - complete progress over time sheets for every class using SIMS
Priority 3– PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT, BEHAVIOUR AND WELFARE & OUTCOMES FOR PUPILS
To implement the CPOMS system (child protection online monitoring system). To effectively use CPOMS to record incidents and monitor current cases in school.
Priority 4– LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT
To review the staff appraisal process to ensure it is effective and manageable. To develop a staff appraisal system that gives in depth advice and guidance for all elements of teacher, HT and support staff appraisal.
